Activity 11.2 — Ohm's Law
NCERT Activity 11.2: Verify Ohm's Law by measuring V and I at different settings. Plot a V-I graph and find resistance from its slope.
How To Perform

Set Up Circuit
Connect resistor, ammeter (series), voltmeter (parallel), and rheostat to a battery.

Adjust & Record
Vary the rheostat and record voltage (V) and current (I) at different positions.

Plot V-I Graph
Graph the V-I data — observe a straight line through the origin.

Find Resistance
The slope of the V-I graph (V/I) gives the resistance R.
⚠️ Safety Notes
- •Do not exceed the rated voltage of the resistor.
- •Connect the ammeter in series and voltmeter in parallel — incorrect connections can damage the instruments.
